Viper Unit gets guns off the street on New Year's Eve

Okay I'm just gonna say it....I've been on for 16 years now and when I started this was a great place to work. I'm an old city guy and used to be proud of my uniform and the professionalism that was displayed daily. Today it's different, what I see every day is really sad and I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. What has happened to this department and why can't we turn it around? Of course you would see us on the news now and again when someone would complain about excessive force but today my god. Rape, spousal abuses, Dui, gang affiliations, having sex on duty with another officer's wife, lairs, just to name a few. And now I understand several of our finest are under fire for being caught on video having sex. What happened to us?

How many times will people sitting behind a desk who haven't patrolled since Clinton or Reagan was President tell people to get a better attitude or leave? House mice are happy because they don't have to police anymore. The unprofessional and unsafe conditions don't affect them. They have no legitimacy lecturing a guy who actually worked a dangerous beat in the last 10 or 20 years. Can't stand to hear preachy guys riding the bench anymore.
