Wow, I thought I was the only person sick of officers crying all the time. I appreciate having a job and remember why I took an oath.

Sometimes children need an adult to show them the way. Nicely done!

Anyone who pays taxes has a right to gripe about the way the department is run. LMPD has more than its share of gripes because it's a poorly run department with low morale. You are more worried about the symptom than the disease. Cheering like some North Korean party member because you've been graced with special privileges does no one any good except yourself and your bosses. The citizens are still less safe than they were before merger.

Community Relations, a unit that was under special ops and only had an officer in it. When she retired it was shut down until they had to find a home for the new LT. She went there and now needs a Sgt to run it. Please tell me how an officer ran it and did a great job at it and now it needs to be run by a LT and Sgt? It is just putting people in certain spots in an effort of taking care of them. Can either of these people run a platoon without causing a distuption or mass exit of the officers assigned?
