Louisville police begin tracking problematic officers for prosecutors, defense

There are many more examples of officers being assigned to Detective positions for which they are not the best qualified. Many departments require a civil service exam for selecting Detectives and not just whoever the Major likes. They could easily do testing to gauge your aptitude for Detective, Major, or Lt Col, but that would be too professional for Louisville. Politics rules as usual.
