Before I became a cop I worked for a non union company. Any attempts in organzing a union and the company stated they would close the door and immediately go out of business. They paid us a competitive wage and no union was ever necessary. The FOP, like unions, survive because so many sheep believe they are necessary to protect defenseless employees from dishonest employers. As long as members are controlled by that fear, the FOP brass will keep its pockets lined with dues from its gullible members.
