If you are promoted to sergeant, you should be required to serve on a street platoon for a minimum of 2 years. Too many are getting promoted, going to a hiding spot, and then making lieutenant and hiding even more. SCAM!!!

Well, I respect and applaud your observation. You have several outlets. You can write the Chief and tell him. You can go to SPI and publish a paper on it. You can write a special column to the Courier. You can present your plan at an FOP meeting. If you feel that strong about it, you should step forward and make your new plan known on a public stage. To sit idly by out of fear does no one any good at all.
