It also takes a total of 4 Lt's to run SWAT, the Air Unit, Canine, Traffic, and the Dive team. I would bet their jobs are harder than the jobs of the 4 Lt's in Special Events.

If the Chief actually wanted to talk about that with you, you should also ask why his salary is $30,000 higher than some much larger departments paying officers a lot more than LMPD does.
