What answers has the community come up with besides b***ch about the police? You can't arrest your way out of the problem, but that's because the prosecutors and judges allow serious violent criminals to go free much sooner than in any other part of Kentucky. The answer is elect somebody different who's actually interested in stopping violent crime. The police are just the whipping boys and fall guys for all of the political decisions that determine how things are run. Expect business as usual until the west end is protesting at City hall demanding resignations for the violent crime rate.

I've got an answer for you. It's called personal responsibility. Quit having children out of wedlock. Quit having multiple children you can't pay for. Raise your children to be polite, law abiding kids. Encourage them to be productive, not destructive to society. Get them off welfare and show them how to work and make a living. I guess that is just to difficult, right? Dr. Ben Carson was able to it with a single mom.
