You missed my point, but I get yours. My point is that no one needs to spend $2300 a year to maintain uniforms and equipment. It can be done for half of that…or less. Hence we make out a little. With quartermaster systems officers just go buy ***** they don’t need to use the vouchers up. A closet full of unused equipment doesn’t do anybody any good. I understand that you are suggesting officers wear crappy uniforms and use garbage equipment because they refuse to replace it with the allowances.
