See, that attitude overtakes you after too many years in traffic. We will never make a dent in speeding and/or fatal collisions. How many traffic officers? How many commuters on our roadways each day? See where I’m going with this. It’s about revenue. Set up cameras and all that nifty equipment and mail them a ticket. Fact of life – fatal traffic accidents are going to happen and we aren’t going to stop it. Same for VIPER. Prevent homicides? Really? We would have to have one officer per citizen and shadow them 24/7 to prevent homicides. Get real. If I’m going to murder you and VIPER happens to be in the vicinity, then I will wait until tomorrow when they are not around and off your ***. Or maybe I’ll just go to McDonalds and shoot at the VIPER detectives. There is no deterrent to homicide. However, there are deterrents to all the crimes that lead to homicide. But sadly, in order to address the issue, it takes admitting that Louisville has gangs and violent criminals and that almost ALL crimes are dope related.

Heroine detail? Absolutely, my friend. Hell, we don’t need to go door to door. Just go to the parking lot at Phoenix Hill Tavern-that’s a detail all by itself!
