Audubon Park police chief out of a job

It's easy to pick out the people who don't understand the job, but the people with the power, temper, bigotry and morality issues who get the department into real trouble are more difficult to find. They learn how to conceal their mindset well enough to fool the people who screened them.

You can fix performance issues with additional training, but how do you train someone so they won't commit a criminal act or break policies because they get mad or disagree with them? You can't. If you aren't paying enough to get top quality recruits, then the chances of getting a problem child are much higher.

When I was a young recruit many years ago, my FTO told me "Son if You DON'T get complained on, then you are NOT doing YOUR Job".and for some reason that made sense. After all of these years ,seeing how things have changed it made perfect sense!
