It has been an interesting 22 years, and I am happy to say that I am leaving. I had thought I had an easy retirement job with Aububon Park, but it sounds like I should steer clear. I just heard that West Buechel is looking for a part time officer; any advice?

Let me enlighten you about something. I can can remember well about having to fight for my life with a pcp upped idiot who had it out for the police. If it hadn't been for something I remembered in training from Adam Houghton about a man cannot hold up dead weight I wouldn"t be here to talk about it today. Yes your weight, exercise and every thing else will come into play during a life and death situation. I figure some of you know it alls will say how did you get in such a predicument to start with. When you let your guard down it will happen easily I assure you. Back to the topic. Keep your *** in shape it is part of your job. It could save your life. Too many trips to Thorton's will catch up with you sooner than later. Society as a whole doesn"t give a rats as# about your badge or ego. A bad guy will hurt you in a minute if given a chance and may take your life. So guys look at yourself and ask a question if I had to fight my way out of a bad situation could I do it? Only you know the answer. Be safe take care of each other your all you have brothers. Excuse me for the grammer I do the best I can for a 60 year old retiree.

Thanks for the comments. For the funny guys at Thortons your comrades will get to you read about you when you retire from a early death in the obits from heart disease. So keep up your healthy habits. I really don't know why everytime someone tries to talk about something that makes a little sense on this site a few want to make a big joke of it. You give officers who try to do their job a bad name and are the reason the public thinks LMPD is a joke. I guess that's funny to you also. Oh I forgot some of you have egos as big as your mouths. Now that is funny don't you think so.
