I think the point that is not being discussed is that no one is pushing pro-active community oriented policing. What happened to that. If done right it works. If done right it will generate complaints and high arrest stats. Looks like they don't want that anymore. I believe we are seeing a pattern of agencies going back to reactive policing. Quit worrying about compstat. Write a ticket when you need to. Respond quickly to your runs. Work your warrant packs. Those are easy arrests and easy stats. Take care of yourself and the public. And most of all, go home safe and take care of your family.
