Indianapolis police shootings highlight balance between safety, cost |

JCSO deputies cannot work off duty? Wonder how I got approved to work a few weekly jobs I have.

Are you just making stuff up? Yes, they work off duty all the time...approved off duty. What you say or think isn't true just because you want it to be true. Pretty sad considering you don't have to go to the library anymore to confirm facts. Google it on your phone or call the JCSO and ask.

Of course JCSO deputies can work off duty - in Jefferson County. But several Bullitt County deputies regularly work off duty jobs in Jefferson County, under the mutual aid agreement. (I really don't think LMPD signed a mutual aid policy with BCSO thinking that BCSO would be working off duty jobs in Jefferson County, though.)

I suspect you mean special deputies can't work it, which is true. But they can, and do, have lights and sirens installed in some of their cars.
