When people don't have enough legitimate work to do, you don't need a Ph.D or decades of behind-a-desk "law enforcement experience" to determine those people should be reassigned.

The "experts" at SPI are the problem. They have no idea what they are talking about. They think academia is the same thing as actual street work. We're talking about people that have not policed in years. Example: SPI believes and teaches that the span of control for a CO should be 5-7 subordinates. Are you kidding me?? If a Sgt or Lt isn't able to adequately supervise at least 20 officers, then they have no business being a supervisor. This is the crap you get from SPI. Using them as a reference doesn't do much for your plight...Mr. or Ms. Special Opts Lt.
