He's right. Real police work is riding your beat and answering your radio. Writing traffic tickets for stats is BS. Traffic stops are fine when pulling over suspicious vehicles that you suspect of being involved in a criminal activity. Do your investigation(dope or other criminal activity) and cite or arrest if needed. Don't go out and run radar and ruin peoples days over a minor traffic infractions. There are better things to do like catching A-holes breaking into homes, cars and businesses.
