I go, but I hate it. It's the low point of my day. Plus, it's a waste of time if you ask me.

It's about 50/50. Some officers don't mind going to court, some officers try to avoid it at all cost. I have been on for 8 years and have only had cases in circuit court about a dozen times. I haven't testified in cc for about 2 years. Sometimes it just happens that way.

I hate going to court. Domestics are the worst. They hold you there and make a big deal about a ASLT 4 No Visible Injury, that you were required to make an arrest on; However, a case you really care about like catching a thief redhanded, they slap on the wrist or plea-bargain, or dismiss and merge with another. If you work midwatch and get off at 1am, you probably will not get to sleep until 2:30, then wake up at 7:30 so you wont be late for 9am. Also, it sucks on an offday... I wonder how an attorney would feel if they get a subponea to show up to court on Sunday at 9:00 AM? Plus there always the chance you might have to actually testify, which causes anxiety.
