Indy pays better. Stop drinking that Kool-aid. I've noticed the people who love LMPD the most are also the ones who've benefited from the good old boy and girl system the most.

Probationary Officer - $39,446
2nd Year Patrol Officer - $47,651
3rd Year Patrol Officer - $60,967 (as much as an LMPD Sergeant)
Other Benefits
Take home car (even for new officers)
College incentive pay, up to a maximum of $1,250 for a Masters Degree, $1,000 for a BA or BS degree
