There is no negotiation with the city over any changes made by the state to the retirement system. Just because a deal has been made with the city doesn't mean retirement benefits are any safer. Most companies have stripped their employees of good pensions and they intend to do the same to government pensions, starting with cost of living raises and health benefits for retirees. The FOP should be going to Frankfort just like these business industry lobbyists are.
