LMPD detective arraigned after shooting unarmed man last year

Give citizens more credit. Most people understand the concept of impersonation and hacking. Most people understand the anonyminity of message boards. Yes, it would be nice if people behaved with integrity even when no one knows who they are, but be realisitic. LMPD does not have any control over this site. Anyone who makes a judgement of LMPD based on this site is very shortsighted and you probably couldn't win them over anyway.

"Responsible officers should shun this site and question the judgement of officers who frequent it."

Strange advice from an individual who took time from his busy day to waste his or her time on an embarrassing site and then made it a point to post a comment dripping with sanctimonious irony.

This board is what free speech is all about. Better to admit the problems than have a coverup mentality like some other places, until the media exposes them at least. Where there is smoke, there may be fire, but the worst fires are the ones hiding from everyone (as seen in the movie Backdraft)
