The FOP should hire civilians or retired officers handle contentious issues with the administration so there won't be conflicts of interest. Unless you have 20 years with no fear of the administration putting you on midnights or trying to fire you one day for making them mad, you have no business sitting across the table from them. Everyone knows how vindictive the city can be.
