Metro councilman to fund overtime after Hikes Point shooting

We just hired a retired a J-Town officer and made him go through all that BS again. His class started in February and graduated this month, and now he has to do 20 weeks of pto. What a joke! 4 weeks of sop and 10 weeks of pto is what he should have had to go through, which means he would have been on his own in mid may and now we have to wait till end of december or early january to get this veteren officer who has been policing longer than 70% of LMPD. Its time the administration wakes up and starts hiring laterals with 5+ yrs of experience.
