LMPD is facing a problem no one is saying a lot about. The rate of experienced officers retiring has not set off the alarms that it should. I don't think anyone knows why this is happening for sure, but you cannot have an effectively run department with your experienced officers leaving at the rate they are leaving. I don't know if they are leaving as "disgruntled workers" or just moving on to other ventures, but LMPD should at least explore the reasons for this and possibly try to reverse the trend.
