"I suspect..."

Really? Apparently you have failed to see the point.

I would love to see this go to trial. It would be entertaining on several fronts, but who really thinks it will?

Highlights for speculation:

A. Will it go to trial? If

a. Yes-

i. Will T. Clay actually still represent Lt. RP?

1. If yes, will there be a competent defense attorney representing Metro? If so, that could be very entertaining and embarrassing for one side. If not, it could be embarrassing all around. But still entertaining.

2. If no, will T. Clay call a press conference to announce some ‘conflict of interest’ or something, or will someone else just quietly appear at Lt. RP’s side at the first real hearing?

ii. Will it actually go to trial within the next couple of years? And will any of the current players still be employed by Metro? My money is on years away and retirements all around.

b. No-

i. Well, duh. When do things like this actually ever go anywhere? If the plaintiffs don’t drop it, or it isn’t settled out of court, some judge somewhere along the line will toss it before any juror even started to think about how to get out of sitting the trial.

B. Will it make a difference? If you said-

a. Yes!

i. Please read the back of your insurance card and take advantage of the fine and many mental health options. That’s what they’re there for.

b. No!

i. Continue to enjoy your retirement, like Rich P, Steve C, and everybody else will be doing if and when this thing ever gets called up.

Hey, but if it does actually get to a trial, and dirty laundry is publicly aired, I will read every bit of it! There’s never enough drama!
