You don't know much about modern day infantry tactics. These days even young soldiers are taught CQB tactics and house clearing. They have rules of engagement that don't allow for excessive collateral damage either. Go watch some of the youtube videos. As the whole country saw in Boston, the police looking to confront the Tsarnaevs were SWAT not beat cops. In Iraq and Afghanistan there is no SWAT team to call. Most police are not trained to handle these kinds of people although they are becoming more and more common. That lack of training is what you should be ranting about instead of getting high blood pressure over tow truck drivers. They have a right to carry a weapon and defend themselves, knowing full well there will be no police around to save them if they are ever assaulted.
