I detect you are only annoyed because it kind of takes away your prestige of carrying your badge and gun. Tell me if I'm way off- I have been known to have f'cked up thinking at times. But strangely, I am usually on the money.

I hope they are carrying. ESP. For their safety. It is legal. You have no point. I am sick of cops griping about citizens legally protecting themselves. If you cannot handle this job, get out. I sure we don't have another Arby's incident with an idiot officer or SGT.

I have seen a tow truck driver in a uniform store trying to buy hats and t-shirts that said "POLICE" on them. He was on the phone with someone else asking them what sizes they wanted also. When he got to the counter they refused to sale them to him. He ended up getting mad and walked out. When I stepped up to the counter and made my purchase I thanked them for being responsible about who they sold to. His response was "they try it all the time but will not give up".

I understand that Joe Citizen has a right to protect himself, but when you wear a patch that looks a lot like a police patch, you give up the right to try to look like a Police Officer. Maybe if they want to carry they should try to revamp their uniforms so that they look like a tow truck driver with a gun instead of a Police Officer driving a tow truck. This is exactly why only Officers should have badges, not VIU, CSU, and whoever else they may hand them out to.

Some people on here are just ignorant. Get educated so you won't go spouting off about subjects you know nothing about.

I'm all for the wrecker drivers carrying as long as their badge is next to their firearm.
