Bardstown officer slain; killer at large as police seek clues

Very strange circumstances indeed. What ever he came up on did not raise any red flags - did not call off on the radio and I don't think his weapon was drawn. A ped or traffic stop would have had him pulled off on the shoulder not blocking the ramp with his vehicle. Something ahead of him posed a traffic hazard to other motorists - stalled or stopped vehicle maybe?

I had the same thoughts. Was thinking whoever the shooter is was planning on killing the first person who stopped & it so happened to be a policeman.
