See, you have no idea what's going to happen at the end of this contract. That's five years from now. You have a crystal ball? The only thing I know for sure is at the end of this contract I will be making 17% more than I make now and I will have had great insurance for seven straight years without my premiums going up. What's your crystal ball say about that?

Actually, ignorance is believing that after working hard for 2 1/2 years on this contract we should have just vote it down and leave our fate to the city. Trust me if we would've voted "NO" and go to arbitration, we would've not been negotiating in good faith. Which means that during Arbitration we would lose our current benefits and the city could give us whatever it want till we ratified a contract. And that is unexceptable to our members.
