LMPD officer charged with official misconduct after ordering woman to strip

I was extremely skeptical of the contract at first when I heard of it, after attending the FOP presentation yesterday I am voting yes. I hate the part of the Affordable Care Act, but the health insurance part would change whether or not it was in there or not. It is a federal mandate so we would have to comply, albeit I see this as the city's way of getting us to the Metro Plan when it does come into effect, we can only hope and pray that Obummer Care gets repealed. Like it was said in previous posts, we can't fight for future officers that are not here yet, though I wish we could protect them. We have to take care of ourselves and our families. The raises actually almost make up the cost of living increases when you do the math over the past 10 years. If we don't take this we will end up with a worse offer from the city and we will be forced to take it when the third party part of the negotiation comes into play. I am voting yes.
