Police officers love to brag how they "sent someone to prison". You don't send anyone to prison fool, the judge or the jury does. Yes, people do go to prison in a literal sense, but nowhere nearly as often as officers try to have you believe. Police officers are bottom feeders in the justice system. You are in the line of fire, low paid, and full of stress. You are important to the economic system that funds the judges, prosecutors, and defense lawyers. Most officers don't figure out they have been used until they are about to retire.
