Don’t be goofy. The FOP doesn’t run the city. If Metro decides it will provide security for its citizens or for VIP’s at private events at Metro’s expense, then that’s Metro’s issue. Personally, I consider it a waste of money. But that’s just me. Do you think because the FOP tells Metro that officers don’t want to do it that Metro will cease? Obviously not.
