Are you just complaining to complain? Or is there some benefit that you think will come from a contract vote soon? I'm not attacking, I'm genuinely curious. It seems to me (with the economic state in the country/state), that there is no legitimate chance of us getting something more favorable than we have now. And there is a high likelihood, things will get worse. Maybe you're hoping for a raise? That's the only thing I can think of that anyone would push the contract issue over. It seems pretty likely that even if we do get a nominal raise, we'll probably give up more on the health insurance front, making the raise fairly pointless anyway.

If there is a side of it I'm not seeing, please enlighten me. I have less than 5 years on, and I've never experienced a contract agreement, so what are the realistic pros and cons of moving forward with something right now?
