Who cares. They deserve equipment like any other unit. Just have to spend more taking care of the equipment we already have. Officers were very successful doing police work without all the fancy electronics we have today. Nice to have, yes. Just keep it simple and stay safe. If the money is not in the budget, then everyone just has to deal with it.
