Police officer indicted in off-duty fight told grand jury he and friend were attacked

They can't possibly be hired without going through the academy. How could they ever be a good cop without all their expert advice?

A week on the street is worth a year in the classroom.

Yet, when you retire, and go get another cop job, I'll bet YOU would be insulted in having to go back through basic training. How about everytime you change jobs, you have to go through basic training again?
