LMPD Major demoted due to sexual conduct

Obviously Conrad's Command Staff has to much free time on their hands. The 2 Deputy Chief's & 2 Assistant Chief's are not doing their job or this type of behavior would not be happening. No one is governing the Major's.

I have to say that if this lieutanent wasn't a golden boy he would have been fired. It was a clear and blatant violation of the SOP that there is to be no sex on duty or in government buildings or vehicles. There are so many rediculos exceptions given to the "in group" or other groups with in LMPD. How about be fair and punish everyone equally? Isn't that in your police officer bill of rights? Screw around still a lieutenant, lie still an officer, do the right thing and maybe get fired? Why do the right thing? Sorry to his soon to be ex-wife and their children!! How embarassing.

Just think of how many hotels you could rent with that 20 thousand dollar pay cut. HaHa.

Rules:

1. Do not cheat on your spouse.

2. When breaking rule # 1, do not do so with another officer's spouse!

Regardless of anything two families have been damaged, if not destroyed, by the actions of two "consenting" adults. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of both.

I am oId, and I will readily admit it. Yet this brings me the advantage that I can still remember when we didn't hire people who had this type of behavior. It was justified under the issue of Moral Turpitude, which is, or was, a legal concept that refers to "conduct that is considered contrary to community standards of justice, honesty or good morals."

In short, if an officer cannot keep his {her} oath to his {her} God, Family or wife {husband} how can the public ever expect that he {she} will keep his oath as a police officer? It is a high standard. And one that I wish would still be followed.

Now we have folks who have admitted regular use, or sale of drugs, prior to being hired, but they are hired any way. We are hiring folks who have declared bankruptcy, meaning they were unable to manage their money (making them a potential risk to receiving bribes). And members of our leadership (not just this now former major) have set this standard. In short we get what we hire.

Just my two cents - and please start flaming the typos

This is not the first time something like this has happened to an officer. sometimes people just do not get caught or they lie their way out. I can bet that some other officers are having sex in their cars. I would bet my last dollar.

The sad thing about this is how the LMPD speaks to the community and local schools on the attributes associated with community service, good citizenship, and high standards of being a public servant.

I listened to 13 year school children today say the people involved in this latest public event should not be allowed to work security at the Louisville zoo. They have a good point....

Tandeta Headache is going back to training as the Commander! Sheeeeesh! She has spent all her career in Training and now going back as a Major. Way to venture out there!!!

Don't buy Red Gold brand Sloppy Joe sauce...It sucks!!! The can says "better than Hunt's Manwich". I bought a can of Red Gold Sloppy Joe sauce because I knew Red Gold made decent ketchup, but there is much to be desired from the Sloppy Joe sauce. I'll stick with Hunt's Manwich in the future.

Would the city or the FOP ever consider 12 hour shifts for PATROL? We are very short and patrol/neighborhoods would benefit. I like it and wondering on some thoughts.

He will always be a Major to me. He is a fine leader and better Policeman than 99% of LMPD. He is my mentor and roll model. Don't worry sir some of your faithful still have your back! I can only hope I get to transfer with my leader to continue to learn and prosper. The rest of you are just jealous you weren't getting some while getting paid! You rock buddy!
