Real impact of local violence: LMPD chief speaks out |
RE: Real impact of local violence: LMPD chief speaks out
I've known the guy for years. The one thing he has that his predecessor lacked, is a conscience. He will listen and change course if you give him good reason.
Unfortunately, his boss may have other plans - or may have restricted his scope of authority on some issues - like his command staff. But let's face it - the previous administration pretty much gutted the department of most of its experienced and proven command - and definitely wore down and rid LMPD of a generation of real leaders.
I'm no longer on the department, but it is my hope that Conrad accepted these limitations with the goal of eventually overcoming them. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Whenever I read someone complaining about "taxpayer" money, it makes me want to vomit. That's all some people know: taxes, taxes, taxes. And yes, I pay taxes and I promise you I pay more tax than you do.
