RE: Man claims LMPD officers broke his nose
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Louisville Metro police officer is facing criminal charges Thursday night after court records show he was part of a cover up.
Jackie Miller was working off-duty security at Frost Middle School in the fall and is accused of writing a false citation against a 12-year-old student to try and cover up his use of force on the student.
Miller is now charged with official misconduct and false swearing.
Court records show he admitted in a taped statement to the public integrity unit that he knew the child had not committed an offense.
Miller has been placed on administrative duties pending the outcome of investigation. He's the same officer who was hit by shrapnel during a shooting outside Cole's place in 2012.
