Murder rate spiking in Metro Louisville |
RE: Murder rate spiking in Metro Louisville
BTW, the "camaraderie" on the department has been gone since about 2000. Yet mysteriously, none of our officers have been hurt as a result of its absence. So, "camaraderie" is overrated. Officers are constantly backstabbing each other anyway.
RE: Murder rate spiking in Metro Louisville
I believe you're confusing "camaraderie" with "cliques".
The kind of camaraderie I speak of is when you don't have to worry about whether an officer will back you up if they don't personally "like" you, or are dispatched.
I worked with many other officers over the years, some I was more fond of than others, and some I just down right didn't care for.
But I knew that if the s*it hit the fan, I could count on any of those officers to have my back, and I had theirs. (Yeah, there were a few jack wagons that I'd really rather not have show up on my run...but at least they would still be able to get on the radio and call for more help!)
If you think the loss of that kind of camaraderie is a "good thing", then I truly feel sorry for you and the officers you work with my friend.
Stay safe...
