The camaraderie is gone on the police department and I am one who believes that is a good thing. The "camaraderie" bred clicks and groups of officers who would only back each other up unless dispatched. The "camaraderie" also included pockets of officers on platoons who thought their only job was to chase dope while the uncool cops maintained their beats. This whole BS about "camaraderie" is old-skool thinking. You need to come in and do your job and stop thinking this is a place to fulfill your social needs.

The elite units, agencies, and departments aren't that elite. Having a particular badge and being an effective cop are 2 different things.
