Please indicate which post even alluded to "detaining" someone found to have a warrant and the "let them go". There is a big difference between responding to calls for service and what you are suggesting is being said.

The policy does not state "Shall Arrest" on a Warrant. Policy states "May Arrest". Read up on your policy. I myself have followed several people to the Hall Of Justice and had them re-docket their case.
