Actually the "folks" who brought down hostess were the exectuives who continued to allow themselves 10 to 15 percent raises and perks while expecting their union to accept 5 and 7 percent pay decreases. I will quote a friend of mine; when a company fails, it is always the executive leadership and senior managements fault. On our depeartment (formerly the two) it was said if something goes wrong it is always the sergeant, Lieutenants and captains fault. That attitude kept many in command in check.
