New Louisville Metro Police policy restricts high-speed pursuits

So let me get this straight. Chief creates this bad@$$ VIPER unit to seek out the cities most violent criminals so that they can be brought to justice, then he has the VIPER defanged, metaphorically speaking.How does this make sense? This is just ridiculous. I cannot believe that he would take it to this extreme. I understand why he is doing it, but I do not agree. Chief wants to make Louisville the safest city in America, right? Well, doesn't this decision take away from that main objective? He is turning over more power to the criminals and making the city more unsafe because the criminal element in the city knows that they can get away with more now. I don't get it, but I will be at roll call and will continue to do my job and as told.
