4 in 10 LMPD cruiser crashes officer's fault

Everybody in the public knows the take home car program is a scam. It's a secret the police try to protect but the public knows about it. First of all, off duty police officers rarely assist people in the public (don't ask me for proof for things you already know the truth to). Also, if you live out of Jefferson County what is the point in having an assigned car if you cannot drive it around off duty in Jefferson County thereby creating the illusion that the police are always present? Bet you won't answer that. I'm married to a cop and watched in disgust as the police whined like spoiled little children when the Mayor asked for a usage fee. Oh, but deserve it right? You put your life on the line each time you put on a uniform. (Enough of the fake heroism).
