B-Way was the natural divider for years on LPD: border between the old 5th and 2nd, and the 4th and 6th.

North side on one district, south side on another.

Only time it even became remotely confusing was a 10-49 or 10-50...depended on which direction of travel as to which district got the run, but even then we worked those out.

Seems like the current method would induce more confusion, especially in those instances where a run is "in the alley behind", or "something something West Broadway in the rear" and so forth.

At least the maps seemed easier to decipher when major roadways provided natural borders between districts.
