That's how u get promoted.... keep your head low, do nothing, dont be controversial and you will be a Major...... look at the 8th, 7th, 5th, 4th, training, PIU, Metro Narc now, special ops. The only exception is the 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Many many many officers love working for them..
