Indianapolis public safety to get a new director

It always amazes me how people like Troy Riggs seem to always get the best jobs wherever they go. He achieved higher rank than most could ever dream of while on LMPD. He then gets the job of Chief of Police in Corpus Christi and now he gets the position in Indianapolis. The average officer would never get these opportunities regardless how hard you studied on a promotional exam. For all those who worry white guys are not getting the good jobs anymore, this should be your proof you're wrong.

Personally I say congratulations to Troy. He was a good beat partner, and later a good sergeant. He is also a good man. Congratulations!!!!

I do not agree. I have known Mike since he was hired and he has never been anything other than a great friend, hard worker, and a great boss. He has always gone out of his way to take care of those that work with him and for him. He has a diverse police background to include Street Crimes (yes, the origninal unit) and has worked all over the city to include the West End, Old Louisville, and the South End. He will be what the 7th desperately needs: a good, hard-working boss that knows police work and cares about the officers in the division.

They should just add them to the recruit class. Get out the checkbook, it's time to pay for another lawsuit.
