I disagree. If someone wants to openly carry regardless of your OPINION about tactics then so what. We have officers who violate the court dress code everyday, and to use your argument, they lose the element of surprise with not carrying concealed. It is absolutely legal to carry open. For those who cannot handle it, find another line of work.
