Reorganization coming within Metro Police Department

A gang is an organized group of criminals. Although Louisville does not have a problem to the degree of larger cities, they do have problems. There are criminals in Louisville, in NCIC's database that are registered with affiliations to gangs that are active in our community. Most or the gangs in Louisville are youth based, but violent none the less. Several homicides and other violent crimes are linked and have been prosecuted successfully and associated with these gangs. So indeed my friend, by definition there are clearly gangs in Louisville. We are a smaller community, and you may believe that these gangs are weak or less organized than what you watch in movies, but they exist. We are fortunate that they are not as organized as Chicago and LA, but several of our homicides are directly linked to those larger gangs. Please feel free to call our gangs factions, clubs or even unsanctioned youth programs gone wrong if you wish but by all definitions they are gangs.

my job is pretty darn dangerous

If gangs are not a problem how come I walk out into my front yard with 15 or so black males probably from 14-20 years old standing on the sidewalk with red bandannas covering their faces? Maybe this is not a gang just some ugly kids who does not want their face shown. We do have a gang problem you're just not smart enough to see it.

Who are you kidding brother? James only moved to the Old-Louisville area to run for Alderman. Those people are so ignorant not to realize his personal agenda.

James has arrest powers, let him go out and fight crime on his front porch.
