Man arrested in Louisville Arby's after refusing to cover gun, police say |
RE: Man arrested in Louisville Arby's after refusing to cover...
It matters none whether I was there or not. If a police officer comes up to someone a demands they do something where they have no legal authority to do so, then the officer is the one in the wrong. The SGT involved should have NEVER made an initial contact to even demand that Mr. Helms cover his LEGALLY carried firearm. OH and BTW, a small group of us Open Carried in the exact same Arby's for lunch yesterday, and it was a total NON-ISSUE which, of course, it should be. So tell the other officers to leave us alone, to check their ego's and get whatever chips off of their shoulders and enforce the law, and quit trying to force their demands on us. Oh and if the SGT was so afraid of guns, tell him I recommend that he quit his job as he obviously has no abilities to do it correctly, and to barricade himself in his house so that the big bad world wont get to him...
