Metro Police event to benefit toddler with leukemia

The Louisville Metro Police Department's special response team will hold a benefit Friday night for Hayli Nobles, a 15-month-old diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia.

Hayli, who is undergoing specialized treatment at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., is the daughter of Metro Police Officer Mike Nobles and granddaughter of retired Officer Mitch Nobles, of Crestwood.

The fundraiser is from 5 p.m. until midnight at the River City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge at 6204 Price Lane, off Cooper Chapel Road near McNeely Lake Park.

It will include live entertainment by "Eight Inch Elvis" and "Caribou", as well as a silent auction, raffles, fish fry, spaghetti, spirits and other beverages.

All proceeds will be given to the Nobles family.
