A high-speed, two-state police chase Wednesday morning involving Louisville Metro Police and a robbery suspect has come to an end in South Louisville.

Police received a call around 5 a.m. about some street robberies near the area of 30th Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard. Upon arrival police were given a discription of the vehicle the suspect was driving.

Police later caught up with the black Chevrolet near Interstae 64 and the Shawnee Expressway, that's when the pursuit began.

Police pursued the black Chevrolet from Kentucky to Indiana, and finally back to Kentucky where the pursuit ended at Manslick Road and Conn Street.

It is reported that speeds reached 110 mph.

Allegedly, the Chevrolet struck a LMPD officer. The officer did fire shots but no one was hit.

The officer was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Two other people were transported to the hospital but no information has been released about them.

The driver did flee on foot once the car stopped and was later arrested.
